Adult Religious Emblem

The Adult Religious Emblem is presented to adult Scout leaders who have provided exceptional service to youth through the faith presenting the emblem.

The award is not a BSA award; it is an award presented by a religious body for education, service and devotion to faith. The square knot pictured here may be worn in lieu of the pendant medallion. Only one such knot should be worn regardless of the number of adult religious emblems the leader may hold. For additional information, refer to Religious Emblems Programs flyer, No. 206A. Silver Buffalo Award

The Silver Buffalo Award is awarded upon action of the National Executive Board of the Boy Scouts of America to volunteers Scouters and other individuals for service to youth on a national basis or over a significant period of national service to a youth agency or in actions affecting youth. The Silver Buffalo Award is the traditional award presented to the Honorary President of the Boy Scouts of America sometime during his term of office.

Silver Antelope Award

The Silver Antelope Award is presented upon action of the Regional Executive Board of one of the BSA's four Regions for service to youth within the Region or for long time service to youth by a registered Scouter residing within that Region.

Silver Beaver Award

The Silver Beaver Award is presented upon action of a Council Executive Board of one of the BSA's 319 local Councils or the Direct Service Council for service to youth within the Council or for longtime service to youth by a registered Scouter residing within that Council.

District Award of Merit

The District Award of Merit is awarded by a District to volunteer and professional adults for service to youth in the District.

Venturing Leadership Award

Venturing Leadership Award knot
The Venturing Leadership Award is presented by councils, areas/regions, and the BSA National Council to Venturers and adults who have made exceptional contributions to Venturing and who exemplify the Venturing Code.

Candidates must be registered and involved in Venturing as a Venturer or an adult for at least one year. They must hold a leadership position or office in the Ship, district, council, area, region, or national level (as appropriate for the level of award presented). The candidate must show exceptionald edication and give outstanding leadership and service to Venturing and to Venturers on the level appropriate for the award.

The council level award (for Ship-, district, and council-level service) is a medallion suspended from a blue and white ribbon worn around the neck. The area/region level award is a medallion suspended from a green and white ribbon. The national level award is a medallion suspended from a red and white ribbon. USPS Finley Sea Scout Service Award

The USPS “Finley Sea Scout Service Award” recognizes those members and honorees of the United States Power Squadrons who are also youth or adult Sea Scout leaders, and who have provided outstanding civic, educational, and fraternal leadership to both the Sea Scouts and the United States Power Squadrons, through civic involvement, educational achievement, and active participation in both programs.

George Meany Award

George Meany AwardGeorge Meany Award knot
The George Meany Award is presented to union Scouters at both the national and local council levels for service and support given to the Scouting program in a union environment. The award consists of a medallion and knot.

Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award

The Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award is presented to Scouters and to businesses and organizations at both the national and local council level for service and support given to the Scouting program presented in either rural or urban areas of the council or nationally. Only the awards presented to individuals wear the square knot. The award consists of a plaque, tie-tac (for individuals only) and knot.
